Here are some additional activities you could do with your class:

 

1. Interactive “Ways Of Knowing” Trail  Visit this website as a class
2. Use Kid Pix to create an “Animals Of The Rainforest” document or slideshow.  Students can find a rainforest background, and write about information they found out about a particular animal.  You could use the Enchanted Learning website to gather information as a class. 
3. Read “A Tree Can Be” in Wiggleworks (I Spy book) and do the corresponding writing activities

5. There are many links listed above that the students are going to be able to browse through in Technology class.  Feel free to use any of them for your instructional purposes.  There are videos about the rainforest, nonfiction stories about the rainforest, slideshows with pictures of the rainforest, information about animals of the rainforest, and more!
